The manufacturing of shampoo bottles is a highly automated process. Currently, the vast majority of shampoo bottles on the market are produced using extrusion blow molding machine technology.

Extrusion Blow Molding Machine Process:

• Extrusion of Tubular Parison: Plastic pellets are heated and melted, then extruded through a donut-like annular die to form a vertically hanging hollow plastic tube, known as a “parison.”
• Mold Closing: Two mold halves rapidly close together, clamping the parison between them. The cutting edges of the mold trim and seal the top and bottom of the parison.
• Blowing: A blow pin is inserted into the parison, and high-pressure air is injected, causing the softened parison to expand and tightly adhere to the inner walls of the cold mold.
• Cooling and Setting: The pressure is maintained for a period to allow the product to fully cool and solidify.

• Mold Opening and Ejection: The mold opens, and the formed product is ejected. Excess flash (waste material generated during trimming) must be removed.

Blow Molding Machine Features:

• Advantages: blow molding machine has low mold cost, high production efficiency, suitable for large products, and the product has a seamless surface.
• Disadvantages: Slightly poorer wall thickness control (the parison sags due to its own weight), lower precision of the bottle mouth, and the need to trim flash.
• Typical Products: Laundry detergent bottles, shampoo bottles, chemical barrels, pesticide bottles etc.
