Operation Process of Extrusion Blow Molding Machine

The startup and initial operation process of the extrusion blow molding machine ensures the safe and reliable operation of the equipment and lays the foundation for subsequent production operations.

Pre-Startup Inspection:
1. Check the hydraulic oil tank level to confirm that the hydraulic oil volume meets the specified requirements.
2. Check the oiler level to ensure that the lubricating oil supply to each lubrication point is sufficient.
3. Visually inspect the blow molding machine and surrounding areas to confirm that there are no foreign objects blocking the machine and that the safety devices (such as safety doors and emergency stop buttons) are intact.
Power System Initialization:
1. Connect the main power of the blow molding machine.
2. Turn on the main power switch of the control box.
3. Set the operation mode selection switch to “Jog” or “Manual” mode.
Hydraulic System Startup & Pressure Setting:
1. Start the hydraulic pump motor when the hydraulic system is in the unloading state.
2. After the hydraulic pump runs smoothly, gradually adjust the system overflow valve to set the hydraulic system working pressure to the normal range specified by the blow molding machine process parameters. Observe the pressure gauge indication for confirmation.
Hydraulic Oil Temperature Control:
1. After the hydraulic pump starts running for a period of time (about 5-10 minutes), open the oil cooler cooling water control valve to cool the system return oil.
2. Monitor the oil temperature to ensure that it is maintained within the allowable operating temperature range to prevent oil deterioration or plastic blow molding machine failure due to excessive oil temperature.
Mold Closing Pressure Test – Initial:
1. Confirm and close the front and rear safety doors.
2. Perform mold closing in manual mode.
3. Turn on the pressure gauge and observe the pressure rise during mold closing to verify whether the pressure can be normally established to the set value.
No-Load Function Test:
On the premise of ensuring that the mold area is safe and unobstructed, perform several complete cycles of mold opening, mold closing, mold locking, air blowing (if applicable), and mold opening in manual mode.
Electrical Control System Verification:
1. Test whether the action logic of each relay is correct.
2. Verify that the signal triggering of each limit switch (mold opening termination, mold closing termination, mold locking in place, etc.) is accurate and reliable.
3. Check that the counting device is reset and the counting function is normal.
4. Test that all emergency stop buttons are effective and responsive, and can immediately cut off the main drive power.
Trial Run Mode Verification:
Observe whether the extrusion blow molding machine can complete a complete cycle according to the preset program (usually including mold closing, mold locking, blowing, pressure holding, exhaust, mold opening, etc.), and automatically stop after the mold opening is terminated, waiting for the next start signal. Verify the action sequence, timing and terminal position accuracy.
